ABOUT US THE CENTER FOR SHAMANIC HEALING was founded in March 2009 by a circle of Shamanic Healers, Teachers and Practitioners dedicated to bridging Shamanic and Spiritual healing into the 21st century as a living, thriving practice. This is a blend of ancient and ancestral wisdom with new direct engagement with spirit. We offer Shamanic Healing, Instruction and Apprenticeship, Community Ceremonies and Rituals. Followed by 20 years of study with herbal remedies, live food nutrition, and several massage and energy work modalities she merged her love of nature, creativity and the healing arts into a private practice for over 25 years. Her shamanic training began in 1994 with teachers from the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and includes travel around the world with anthropologists and indigenous healers from Peru, Ecuador, Bali, Hawaii, Mexico and Nepal. She is also an Ordained Minister with The Circle of the Sacred Earth and available for officiating sacred ceremonies. He was one of two American members of the Foundation For Shamanic Studies 2003 field Expedition to Tuva traveling to the Russian Republic to participate in the International Symposium on Shamanism in August 2003. The Tuvan government, the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, sponsored this gathering where he worked alongside of 80 indigenous Shamans from all over the world collectively performing healings for over 500 clients. Kent has developed a deep connection to spirit through Shamanic practice based on his own experiences of direct engagement. He has trained with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies under Dr. Michael Harner and Sandra Ingerman having completed the FSS three-year advanced program. Kent is also a graduate of Sandra Ingerman’s Two-year teacher training program, which focuses solely on how to teach shamanism in our diverse western culture and bring it into the 21st century. He has continued advanced studies with Betsy Bergstrom, Lama Wangdu Rinpoche, Q’ero elders and the Iranian Master Healer, Behrooz Danadoost. He is a founding member of The Society of Shamanic Practitioners. Kent is also an Ordained Minister with The Circle of the Sacred Earth, a church of animism fostering shamanic principles and practices, and available for officiating sacred ceremonies, spiritual healing and counseling. I lived for some years in Montana and came to spiritual consciousness among the Crow Indians. I am a sundancer, pipe carrier and ceremonial man. I then took courses at the Foundation for Shamanic Studies with the brilliant shaman and pioneering anthropologist Michael Harner. I completed his three-year course in shamanic initiations and advanced healing. Sandra Ingerman explained methods of teaching shamanism in a two year teacher training course. I explored spiritual phenomena in our everyday world with Betsy Bergstrom. I have had a private practice for eleven years, traveling across the U.S. and Canada. I do house and land clearing, dowsing, and now study chi healing. Our healing circle comprises five shamanic practitioners widely experienced and deeply skilled. We aim to enhance the health of our community by treating individuals and tending the common good by ceremonies. We five, by working together and supporting one another, will explore the roots of collective or tribal shamanism in harmoniously vibrating healing, thought and action. In 1995, I began training as a Reiki practitioner & completed level II training. My initial exposure into the world of shamanism came through "The Way of the Shaman" by Michael Harner. I've completed courses introducing shamanic work & initiations in core shamanism sponsored by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. These courses gave me the basics in shamanic work & and understanding of the spirit world & the potential for the healing of spiritual illnesses. I learned a holistic method of soul retrieval from Sandra Ingerman. A compassionate method to reunite & make whole a spirit part with the individual for the possibility of a full life. My most recent study with Betsy Bergstrom provided a framework for me to work in this everyday reality we call the middle world. I've worked with individuals as well as in groups. Heart filled spiritual work allows us to address areas that defy other explanation. It helps us to address concerns, anxieties or apprehensions otherwise unresolved. It is about relieving suffering. She has worked 30 years as an RN and Infant developmental specialist with special needs children. Introduced to shamanic Healing in 1998 provided her with an understanding of invisible ways of healing that supplement allopathic traditions. This led to her private practice of healing and teaching using ancient wisdom and techniques that continue to be effective in this present time. Suzanne has trained with Michael Harner PH.D and other teachers from the Foundation of Shamanic Studies. She completed their 3- year initiatory program. She graduated from Sandra Ingermans 2- year teacher training. This training focused on teaching shamanic practices for personal, community and global issues of this time. Suzanne has continued advanced training with Betsy Bergstrom, Tom Cowan, Q’ero Shamans and Iranian Master Berooz Danadoost.
